Leslie Emery:
Boxes are conceptually conceived as a multiple series. A large
image on paper is painted, then divided into shapes that will
cover the faces of the masonite boxes. Each portion of the
original painting is laminated onto the face of the box and
the sizes are finished with black, or additional detail painting.
Boxes can be purchased individually or in multiples and can
be commissioned in any size and number. They may be displayed
in many varying configurations where sculptural impact is
desired.
Each year, the Katie Gingrass Gallery takes Leslie Emery's
work to SOFA
Chicago. Leslie is currently a featured artist in our
Contemporary Signatures exhibition.
