August 14 - September 18, 2013
Mathew Hintz of Hintz Studios creates stunning, personalized motorcycle oil paintings inspired by his 17 years working closely with Willie G. Davidson and the Styling department at Harley-Davidson Motor Company. Hintz has created hundreds of art production pieces, from helmets to tank medallions to full paint schemes for motorcycles.
Hintz' fine art paintings elicit a passionate response from art and motorcycle enthusiasts as he "sculpts" the canvas with layers of paint, creating a three-dimensional fine art piece which is coated with a high-gloss finish.
Harley-Davidson enthusiasts have a passion for bikes and the culture, a passion Hintz shares. Harley is in his DNA and expressed through his commissioned artwork and limited-edition prints. Hintz graduated from Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1997.
The "Heavy Duty" show opens August 14, and the Opening Reception will be August 23 from 5-8pm. Hintz will be onsite at the Gallery from 12-5PM on August 31, during the Harley-Davidson 110th Anniversary Celebration.
