Faraday Newsome:
Farraday Newsome was born in El Paso, Texas, but grew up in the redwood forests of California in a small lumbering town called Boulder Creek. Her father, George Newsome, studied ceramics at Alfred State University with Daniel Rhodes in the 1950's. Farraday initially earned her BA in Biology at the University of California at Santa Cruz. Ten years later she earned her Master’s in Art, Ceramics Emphasis at San Francisco State University.

Farraday currently lives in the Arizona Sonoran desert with fellow potter and husband Jeff Reich.

This year, the Katie Gingrass Gallery will take Newsome's work to SOFA Chicago.
